Harry Fireside

Harry Fireside was a San Francisco-based jewelry designer known for his distinctive pieces, often incorporating jade, pearls, and tourmalines. His work was influenced by his love of Asia, a passion nurtured by his upbringing near Chinatown and accompanying his photographer father to Chinese events. Fireside's designs were sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue's San Francisco store for 18 years. He also owned a shop called ""In My Dreams"" on Russian Hill, which sold a variety of items.

Before becoming a jewelry designer, Fireside operated a deli and cafe, the Nosheria in San Francisco for over 20 years. He started making jewelry in the 1970s as a hobby, inspired by the disco era, and it eventually evolved into a full-fledged career. In a 1991 interview, Fireside wore jade circle earrings and a silk kimono, showcasing his love of Asian design influences.
