A Night with Vintage Piaget at The Block Arcade

Held within The Block Arcade, home to Melbourne’s flagship Bakhache boutique, the evening celebrated an extraordinary capsule collection of rare vintage Piaget timepieces curated by founder Antoine Bakhache.

The collection featured over 30 rare Piaget watches dating from the 1950s to the 1990s, including several highly limited-production pieces, all powered by manually wound 9P mechanical movements. The legendary 9P movement, developed in 1957, renowned for being just 2mm thick and considered revolutionary for its era.

Set throughout the promenade of The Block Arcade, elegant column displays showcased the exceptional timepieces alongside signed vintage jewels from renowned maisons including Cartier, Boucheron and Tiffany & Co.

The boutique windows showcased two exceptional highlights from the collection — the Piaget 9042P61 Malachite Watch Sautoir from the iconic ‘Swinging Sautoir’ collection circa 1969, alongside the Piaget Dual Time 612775 A6 featuring a striking malachite, onyx and diamond-set dial.

More than an exhibition, the evening offered guests an intimate encounter with the artistry and innovation that defined Piaget’s golden era — a rare opportunity to experience first-hand the craftsmanship that continues to captivate collectors across generations.
