Collection: La Triomphe

Founded in 1960 ‘La Triomphe’ was the name given to a range of jewellery created by the American firm Astoria Jewelry Manufacturing Company of Long Island, New York. The first recorded use of the name (which was trademarked), accompanied by its distinctive logo of Paris’s Arc de Triomphe, was in June 1965. For the next twenty or so years they created some fabulously bold pieces of cocktail jewellery including rings, bracelets and earrings. Almost exclusively made in yellow gold, the pieces were set with brightly coloured gems such as peridot, amethyst and tourmaline as well as hardstones such as turquoise, lapis lazuli and malachite. The name is no longer in use but the jewellery remains widely collected and appreciated for its vibrant colours, strong designs and vintage aesthetic.
